Who would have thought that such a simple design could be so functional? This rack is not only a breeze to install, it outperforms all other headache racks I've bought in the past. It is as sturdy as the truck bed it is mounted on. This rack will not flex or bend even with a significant load trying to pull it back. The stake pocket bolts are the only bolts holding this down, there is absolutely no drilling (at least with my application). It's a very good investment for the money and you will be very satisfied with it, I know I am. The design is not cumbersome at all and once it's installed it looks better than other headache racks that detract from the beauty of the truck they're mounted on.

Shortly after I bought my truck, I was at Lowes and there was an identical truck parked next to me when I was leaving. I inadvertently tried to open the door then I realized that it was my truck because it had a cover for the flatbed. I asked the owner about it and he told me they were called tonneau covers. I price matched around town and the cheapest one I found was over $300 for a very flimsy bi-fold PVC cover. So, I did what I usually do...get on the net and research products. I found this cover, it had solid reviews from a variety of sites and it was over $150 cheaper here than at the custom accessory stores in town. It was very easy to install--about 10 minutes. It's easy to fold back and completely remove when necessary for bigger cargo. More than a year later, it still works and looks fine. I use Armor-All and the tire shine stuff to keep it looking shiny.

Extremely easy to install and remove. Bought 2 kayak carriers to mount on them ( a lesser expensive brand than Thule) and they attached beautifully to the racks. I have a Mitsubishi Outlander with real wide round luggage rack tubes and these fit very easily to them.

Each unit works equally well as either an engine oil or transmission fluid cooler, so add it into the system that concerns you the most, or get two to cover them both. The cooler is constructed using a fin and plate design with a black finish, and includes 1/2 NPT fittings and a thermal switch that turns on the electric fan at 175 degrees Fahrenheit. The 9-1/2 inch diameter 12 volt fan has built in mounting brackets for easy attachment to the cooler, and is rated at 500 CFM at 6 amps.

B&M 70297 Hi-Tek Transmission Cooling System Review

Nice piece of kit. Well made and will probably carry out its intended duty very well in a relatively compact space. Temperature switch can be used or replaced with a modulating type controller from Spal [about $70 including all wiring] or a wiring harness if using the built in switch [about $30]. Either way, you will need a separate wiring harness, fuse and relay.

Amazon should note that the packing was not up to scratch and the tmeperature switch was slightly damaged. The unit was simply plonked in a box and sent off without any transit packing to help absorb the inevitable shocks. Otherwise good service. I immediately wrote to Amazon about this but no response to date. Not sure if the unit was packed this way in the factory of later on ex-works.
