Warn 90450 ProVantage 4500 Winch - 4500 lb. Capacity Review

After install and wiring it up, it runs with the in dash switch & supplied remote rocker switch. Supplied is #8 soft drawn cables, (no connectors). I gave this only 4 stars because I feel at this price they could have added the eye connectors & mounting plate. I mounted mine in a 2013 Polaris Ranger Crew 800, fit perfect, but getting it there doing it alone was another. It runs in and out with both the switch and the hand remote. Rocker switch was a perfect fit in the Polaris dash, I used a paddle bit (wood bit) to drill the hole in the body of the Polaris for the remote switch outlet. Haven't had the need to use this winch. Just know your ratios of a winch when buying one, remember 4500# is if the cable is fully off the spool, that's 4500# as the raps get on the spool the ratio changes (gets less) buy accordingly. Hope all the seals are good as it's rained here so I'm sure it'll get dunked some where along the line just going thru mud/water. On the lighter side they wrap the winch cable with a huge rubber band but it was installed inside the farels would have like to had that dude. Something to remember, if your not wanting to pay to have one installed or your not on the Mech. side of tools, on most UTV / ATV or even trucks, you can install a forward receiver or ball hitch and buy a less costly winch and just carry it with you, because they make them with a ball adaptor you slip it over the a trailer ball plug it or clip it to the battery source and your ready to rock. Rampage 88509 Recovery Bumper Review

Had a few spots that were rubbed to the metal when I received it buy nothing a little touch up couldn't take care of. I looked for quite some time for a bumper that included the running lights inserts. I took a chance on this bumper and I'm glad I did. Looks great and well worth the price.

Yakima HighRoller Rooftop Upright Bike Rack Review

I love this bike rack. It is easy to use. Before buying this i did a lot of looking online. I saw reviews that said that their bike moved around a lot and it looked unsafe etc. I am happy to report i have no such issues. I have a road bike with 700x23 tires. It holds my road bike in place perfectly. The only movement i can see is with the truck and no the bike its self.

That being said i was kind of disappointed when i went to try and install this. I had to buy the Yakima might mounts. These where not recommend thus i did not even think about it. The picture also lead me to believe that the mounts that came with it where the might mounts. This is not the case and i had to buy the $40 add on mounts. Also something to think about. This rack does not come with the SKS lock cores. If you want to be able to lock the bike rack to your cross bars and lock the bike to the rack you have to buy these. I was very disappointed that i had to pay a good amount for this rack, the "high end one" and it does not include these things. I will buy another one of these. I guess i know for next time.

The bubba rope works great. I used it several times during blizzard memo to pull people out. I just went trailer hitch to trailer hitch and gave a tug. Here are some hallmarks that make this effective.

The line has give to it. Like a super strong bungee cord it stretches about 4-6 feet. That stored energy then slingshots the stuck vehicle out. This stretching also mitigates jerking and breaking things on either vehicle. This is the special factor of the bubba rope

The eyelets are covered on a thick protective rubberized coating for durability and longer life. Tis is a standard feature and one I really like.

The rope comes with a great carrying case that will also accommodate a few accessories.

To complete a bubba rope recovery kit thinks about adding a couple of recovery rated shackles, perhaps the purpose built bubba rope anti chaffing cover, a tree saver that can also double as a way to attach to more than one connection point.

Overall this is a great piece of gear. My neighbor who I pulled out more than once during the storm was very impressed. Each recovery was super easy with this tool.
