I did my research prior to ordering this product. I read reviews on several sites about this specific hitch and the manufacturer in general, and was pretty pleased with the overall consensus that Curt Manufacturing made a great product. There was one review on Amazon where the buyer claimed that despite Amazon's page saying it would fit his truck, the hitch receiver just wouldn't fit. I promptly dismissed this review as someone who must have not done their research and purchased the wrong hitch...

So when mine arrived and did not fit, I felt quite sheepish. While the dimensions were correct, some of the bolt holes simply did not line up with the holes in the truck undercarriage where they were supposed to. I had read the instructions before hand and was familiar with where all the bolts would go, just so that I would have a quick and easy install. But the bottom line, without drilling holes into my truck, the required bolts simply could not be installed.

I don't know if the fault here lies with Curt having some spec tolerances in their manufacturing process, or even Dodge (it's possible not every RAM that comes off the line is exactly the same), but the holes simply didn't line up and could not be installed without drilling (which negates the benefit of a "no-drill" installable hitch). So, I had to return it to Amazon and go with another product.

I wish this hitch had fit properly, as it appeared to be a heavier duty and more durable build than what I ended up getting. But I had neither the time, tools, nor patience to "force" this one onto my truck.
