PIAA (73122) 1100 LED Driving Lamp Kit Review

The lights themselves are very nice and quite bright. I bought these because of the logic in having the LED's facing rearward into a reflector. I was surprised to see that the lenses are also part of the optical equation and result in an unusually even pattern albeit rather narrow at 15 degrees. The cabling is way to long for my 650 BMW and I had to bundle it up and zip tie it in every free spot. I may cut the cables down later because I hate the mess made by them. the lights have heavy metal enclosures and thick optical glass. I like the color which is more of a super-white than the obnoxious bluish lights. These lights are really small and I mounted mine using a PIAA model specific mounting system designed for a bigger light. They are tucked away out of harms way. I wish I had some kind of guard against rocks but the lens are thick and probably won't shatter easily. They are also a small target. These lights would be a good pick for any size dual sport especially smaller ones.On a bigger bike they would be an excellent narrow driving light in a 4 light array along with a broader beam.

About the seller dn shipping:
It took the seller more than two weeks to ship my lights despite the fact that they were listed as in stock. The seller claimed they were held back by PIAA and didn't respond when I asked why they were listed as "in stock"?? I did save a few bucks by buying from them but I would have preferred to get my lights sooner since riding season is coming to a close around here.
