Nothing tricky or fancy. Lighter weight tubing than I expected and no tabs for lights (hence the 4 vs 5 stars) but there are some openings- not as good.

Installation was straightforward; did it by myself in under 40 minutes --much of that spent looking for dropped nuts and washers. Coupla hints, though: Make sure you have a really sturdy (1/2" drive) socket with a long handle for leverage to break loose the tow hooks which must be removed for the installation. Mine is a 2003 Avalanche 1500, so the bolts had been there a decade of corrosion. I laid out all the parts on a towel in assembly order; doing it by the pictures in the instructions there were no problems. Mounting plates only fit one way. Put everything together without tightening, then propped the bar in proper position and went back to front tightening until the lockwashers were squealling.
