I just installed this bumper on my 1999 F350. I was able to re-use the existing braces and mounting brackets from the original Ford bumper. When I first matched up the mounting holes on the bumper to the bracket, I was concerned that I might be unable to get all 4 bolts holes to align. As it turns out, the apparent misalignment was probably due to variations in the actual stamping. All the existing bracket holes worked just fine. I suggest the following process:

1- Paint the rear side of the bumper
2- Attach mounting brackets and braces
3- Paint the front of the bumper
4- Install

This sequence reduces the likelihood that you will scratch your new paint job on the front side of the bumper while you are attaching the brackets. You should be aware that this bumper does not have the slots/cutouts that will allow you to use the plastic Ford valence. This bumper does have the mounting holes for the OEM number plate holder as well as two additional round holes (that were not present on the OEM bumper) that could be used for fog lights. All in all, I am very satisfied with end result - especially at this price point.
