The ZipWall ZR3 ZipRail Commercial Dust Containment Accessory is a great way to create a dust-tight seal along the floor and ceiling without the need for tape or ladders. The ZipRail only takes a minute to install, prevents fine dust creeping over and under standard plastic sheeting and is perfect for dry wall work and concrete restoration for remodeling, as well as flood and fire restoration. The span of the ZipRail is 4-Feet of ceiling and floor per ZipRail seal with a maximum height of 10-Feet 3-Inch. The ZipRail accessory has (3) components: a spring-loaded pole with a ball joint at both ends, plus (2) 4-Feet roam rail crossbars. The accessory fits between the spring-loaded poles and pushes the plastic sheeting tight to the ceiling and the floor. When assembled, the ZipRail seal resembles a large "I-beam� �. As an RRP certified firm and renovator, dust containment is a big deal. We have been using standard zip walls for a while now but decided to give these a try and expand the capabilities of the system. The beauty of these walls compared to the standard poles and pads is that theses offer a W I D E surface area to seal the top AND the bottom of a dust containment wall. Before we got these, we used A LOT of blue tape to seal the tops and bottoms to the floor and ceiling. That works fine for a short project, but we had a project were the containment needed to be up for over a month, and we did not want to chance that the tape could damage the finished surfaces.

These worked so well that we will be getting several more sets. They go up very fast, all from the ground (so you don't have to worry about getting a ladder to reach the ceiling), and they stay in place very well keeping the poly sheeting where it needs to be, even with pressure changes within the containment zone. With what we are saving in set up labor and not having to buy cases of blue tape, the ZipRails will quickly pay for themselves.
