IMPORTANT: If you are planning on using your factory NAV unit for your display you will need to get it reprogrammed by your dealer for a backup camera. 2009-2011 year models will not need a video interface device (lockpick) as long as you have factory nav w/ DVD. This will connect to any monitor with an AUX in. If you are connecting to an aftermarket unit be sure to check your manual to make sure it has a backup camera input.

2007-2013 Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra Backup Camera Kit Review

I would have given this camera 5 stars if it weren't for one thing. The electrical wires are way to small of a gauge. They have to be about a 22 gauge wire and they have to be spliced to 14 gauge wires. The shielding on the wire would also be better if they were 14 gauge. This would cut out intermittent interference. I can see from bumper edge to bumper edge which is great. Being on the tailgate it points down so I can see from about 6" from the bumper to about 20'.
