I cannot rate this buying experience as a 5 due to the shipping issues I had with this product, plus a design flaw in the welding on the 2 inch Class III insert. Shipping took a week longer than expected even though I initially signed up for a "guaranteed" 2-day delivery date that failed. Amazon.com refunded me for the extra shipping cost. The 2 inch Class III insert had “bubbles” on both the top and bottom welds preventing it from inserting in the receive hitch. I called the WARN service line and was offered the opportunity to return the carrier or grind down the excess welding seam. I opted to perform the grinding myself. WARN agreed this should not have occurred and will still make it good if I desire to return the carrier. After fitting into the front mounted hitch receiver, it has a bit of play in the mounted position for use. This aspect is the main reason for the "3" rating. I trust that it will work when the true test shall come some day. Next, the actual winch sustained some pretty nice dents and scars from being tossed around. It was packaged pretty good, but I am sure the 125 lb. item created some challenges for some handlers. With only two days passing after my delivery/purchase, I noticed that the price was reduced by $201.52 on Amazon. Lesson Learned: Even though I did my homework and tried to buy as a local pickup, I will avoid having heavy equipment such as this shipped due to the risk of damage. Again, my happiness will only come should this winch be required to bail me out someday. I am sure WARN makes a good product and Amazon has been good to me with great success in the past. This one bad experience just had an avalanche of issues for me this go round. Maybe your experience will turn out better.
